Core selection criteria: minimum viewing distance for audience, on-site lighting conditions, live-stream shooting requirements, installation methods and stage-shape demands. Do not blindly pursue the smallest pixel pitch.
Pixel Pitch | Minimum Viewing Distance | Applicable Cultural & Sports Scenarios |
P2.976 | ≥ 3 m | High-end short-range outdoor press conferences, small-scale open-air galas |
P3.91 | ≥ 4 m | Medium-and-small-scale music festivals, open-air performances |
P4.81 | ≥ 5 m | Square galas, mass cultural and sports events |
P5.95 / P6 | ≥ 6 m | Large squares, scenarios with massive long-distance audiences |
Direct daytime open-air exposure: 5000-6000 cd/㎡
Night-time / semi-outdoor scenarios: brightness may drop to 1500-3000 cd/㎡ for balanced energy-saving and visual performance.
For live-streaming or camera-recording scenarios, a refresh rate ≥ 3840 Hz is mandatory to avoid water ripples in captured footage.
Outdoor-rental cabinets with front-module IP65 rating must be adopted. Never deploy indoor rental screens directly in open-air conditions.
Adopt outdoor-grade video processors, sending/receiving cards, network cables, power cables and signal cables. Reserve spare modules, power supplies and receiving cards accounting for 3-5 % of total quantity.

For equipment subject to repeated loading, transportation, handling, setup and dismantling across cities, priorities are ranked as below:
1.Mechanical strength and anti-collision performance of cabinets Die-cast aluminum cabinets must have reinforced anti-collision corners. Lock latches and locating pins shall be durable after thousands of assembly-disassembly cycles to guarantee splicing precision and prevent splicing gaps and uneven surfaces after repeated turnover.
2.Anti-vibration reliability of components Power supplies, receiving cards, connectors and module solder joints must withstand jolting vibrations to reduce cold-soldering and poor-contact failures after long-distance transportation. Lock-type connectors shall be used to prevent loosening induced by vibration.
3.Protection and moisture-proof craftsmanship Stable IP65 sealing on module front sides; internal cabinet moisture-proof treatment to mitigate circuit-board damage caused by condensation under large day-night temperature differences or coastal salt-fog environments in different regions.
4.Standardization and interchangeable spare parts Unified specifications for cabinets, modules, power supplies and receiving cards across the full product line; interchangeable spare parts enable rapid on-site replacement of faulty components during tours.
5.Transport packaging design Special shock-proof aviation transport cases for classified storage of cabinets and accessories to reduce transport-caused damage.
6.Fast-maintenance capability Prioritize front-service structures. Limited on-site touring space allows faulty-module replacement without accessing cabinet rear sides to shorten repair time.
7.Complete inspection procedures Carry out full-unit power-on inspection before packing after each show to identify hidden risks in advance and avoid failures revealed only at the next-stop venue.
1.Adopt standard die-cast aluminum quick-lock cabinets fitted with high-precision locating pins for automatic cabinet alignment, reducing manual leveling work. Tool-free lock latches greatly improve assembly-disassembly efficiency.
2.Deliver complete construction solutions in advance, including screen dimensions, cabinet layout drawings, truss/base drawings, power-consumption calculation, cable routing and reserved maintenance space (0.8-1 m maintenance passage behind screens). Confirm drawings prior to events to minimize on-site adjustments.
3.Standardize complete sets of accessories: classify and label power cables, network cables, aviation plugs, hanging fixtures and arc locks to eliminate on-site accessory-hunting.
4.Calculate power-supply load in advance: figure out peak and average power consumption, specify cable specifications and air-breaker ratings. Deploy standby generators where feasible to avoid delays caused by power-distribution commissioning on-site.
5.Adopt magnetic-attached front-service modules for screw-free disassembly-assembly and high-efficiency on-site replacement.
6.Pre-configure control-system engineering files: debug screen configuration files before departure; only load pre-set files upon arrival at venues to cut on-site commissioning time.
7.Standardize staff division of labor for setup teams: splicing group, power-supply-wiring group and signal-debugging group for assembly-line-style operations.

1.Structural load-checking calculation is mandatory, performed by certified truss engineers for trusses, lifting points and steel-cable load-bearing capacity. Empirical estimation is prohibited. Dual-safety steel cables shall be deployed as secondary protection.
2.Only original matching accessories shall be used for hanging fixtures and connecting bolts; non-standard accessories mixing is forbidden.
3.High-altitude large-screen hoisting shall not be performed under wind force Grade 6 or above. Hoisting schemes shall be avoided for outdoor applications whenever possible.
4.Rain-shielding protection shall be implemented for hoisted-screen rear sides. Cables shall be fitted with water-proof connectors and fixed by suspension instead of pulling interfaces in free-hanging state.
5.Set up warning zones on-site; no personnel shall stand beneath hoisting operations.
6.Ensure truss lifting points fully match screen lifting points to prevent screen stress distortion, cabinet deformation and enlarged splicing gaps.
1.Ground surfaces must be solid and flat. Direct stacking on soft soil or uneven ground is prohibited.
2.Professional base frames and counterweights shall be applied at bottom positions. Anti-wind counterweight calculation is required to prevent overturning under strong winds.
3.For high stacked screens, add diagonal bracing trusses on rear sides for reinforcement.
4.Reserve 0.8-1 m operating space behind screens for technicians’ maintenance access.
5.Cover cabinet rear sides and wiring zones with rain-proof tarpaulins; rear-side components shall never be exposed to open-air rain.
6.After stacking completion, inspect all cabinet lock latches for full engagement and check splicing flatness column by column.
General Reminder: Wind-resistance safety is the top priority for all outdoor projects, regardless of hoisting or floor-stacking installation modes.
Three hardware solutions are available for outdoor rental-screen arc-corner implementation according to arc radius and budget.
1.Arc-lock accessory solution (most widely used) Add special arc-lock accessories to standard 500 × 500 mm / 500 × 1000 mm cabinets to achieve adjustable-angle inner arcs and outer arcs. Suitable for large-radius arc stage aesthetics with convenient assembly-disassembly and moderate costs.
Note: Do not go below the minimum allowable bending radius of cabinets. Forced large-angle bending will damage PCB boards and LED beads.
2.Special 45° miter-cut corner cabinets For 90° right-angle corner scenarios, adopt dedicated miter-cut corner cabinets to realize smooth right-angle transitions, eliminating splicing gaps and LED-bead interference caused by ordinary-cabinet hard splicing. Suitable for double-sided corner large-stage screens.
3.Flexible rental modules paired with rental-cabinet frames For creative shapes with small-radius large curvatures. Confirm IP protection grades of flexible modules for outdoor deployment and implement rear-side protection. This solution entails higher costs.
1.Export corresponding pixel-mapping engineering files according to physical arc dimensions. Produce source materials complying with special-shaped-screen pixel mapping to avoid picture stretching and dislocation.
2.Perform full-screen brightness and color calibration after splicing to eliminate color discontinuities at arc-corner positions.
3.Conduct structural-checking calculation for special-shaped structures to guarantee overall wind-resistance and load-bearing safety.
Core On-Site Principle: Prioritize uninterrupted performance. Rely on rapid spare-part replacement; do not conduct in-depth repairs during performances.
Bring spare modules accounting for 3-5 % of total screen area, together with spare power supplies, receiving cards, network cables and power connectors. Conduct power-on pre-inspection upon equipment arrival to identify hidden risks beforehand.
1.Full-screen blackout ① Check main distribution-cabinet air-breakers and generator output to confirm normal power supply; ② Inspect sending-card status and main-signal network cables; re-plug connectors; ③ Reload screen-configuration engineering files.
2.Blackout of individual cabinets or single columns ① Observe indicator lights on faulty-cabinet receiving cards: red light indicates power supply; flashing green light indicates signal reception; ② Rapidly replace faulty receiving cards or power supplies with spares. Do not disassemble and repair defective units on-site; perform maintenance after performances conclude.
3.Partial-module screen distortion or dead LEDs Replace faulty modules directly with spare units using front-service magnetic-attached tools for fast picture recovery. Collect defective modules for post-performance maintenance.
4.Screen flickering or water ripples in captured footage Confirm refresh-rate parameter setting ≥ 3840 Hz. Implement independent earthing for outdoor screens with earthing resistance < 4 Ω. Troubleshoot electromagnetic interference from nearby frequency converters and high-power equipment.
5.Abnormalities triggered by rainfall Cut off power supply immediately. Check for rear-side water ingress, wipe connectors dry and restore power only after thorough drying. Personnel safety shall be guaranteed first.
1.Assign dedicated on-site Visualeader LED technical engineers who shall remain on-site throughout performances.
2.Collect all defective components uniformly. Only perform part replacement rather than disassembly-repair on-site.
3.Compile pre-prepared fault emergency-response plans specifying operation steps for power-off and standby-signal switching.
